Light rains could arrive today, kicking off a series of expected Bay Area storms over the next two weeks…. as KQED’s Anna Guth reports gentle rain showers will peak Wednesday and linger into Thursday.
The statewide storm could drop the most rain south of San Jose.
National Weather Service meteorologist Dylan Flynn calls this week’s rain beneficial: “Maybe it's not great to walk your dog outside, but it's good in general for California, meaning we get some water in the reservoirs, we get some snow in the Sierra. But we don't have a lot of widespread flooding concerns.”
However… after a dry Friday and Saturday… rain could return this Sunday, building into a potential atmospheric river later next week.
